Rabbi Wucher teaches a course on the Holocaust at Marshall University and several members of our congregation are members of the WV Holocaust Education Commission, which recently developed curriculum to be used to train teachers to share the stories of Holocaust in an age appropriate manner. Each year, B'nai B'rith hosts the Holocaust remembrance "They All Had Names" where the community is invited to join us as we read the names of Holocaust victims. Our own Holocaust Memorial serves as the backdrop for this event. About our memorial

Or Chadash Temple Youth (called "OCTY") welcomes all 8th-12th graders to join in the fun! Last year we went to New York City to visit the Museum of Jewish Heritage, a 3-D IMAX movie, and out to dinner. We also helped out at the Flemington Food Pantry, ran the games at the Purim Carnival, sponsored a Family Shabbat dinner and a creative service, and had a swim party. Read More >
