The purposes of the B’nai Sholom Sisterhood are to foster and further the highest ideals of Judaism as expressed through synagogue, to promote closer fellowship among its members and in cooperation with the congregation, to be a mentor for religious, social and educational  activities.

Sisterhood supports numerous functions of the congregation including the Religious School, Judaica Shop, the library, youth activities, Tot Shabbat, Holiday and Havdalah dinners, the Caring Committee, and catering for many congregational functions.  Our members provide weekly Oneg Shabbats following Friday night services.  Sisterhood holds monthly meetings which afford our members the opportunity to socialize with one another and the chance to enjoy stimulating programs.  Sisterhood also has a presence in the general community through it’s yearly Tsedukah project and interfaith activities.

Cook Book Project

We’ve sold all of the bright orange books,
so now it’s time
to give your recipes a look.
Gather them up and send them in,
so we will be able to begin.
Send any stories you have along.
Did gramma’ bake while singing a song?
Send the recipes the kids adore.
Tell us what you dropped on the floor.
My gramma’ cooked chicken feet,
I don’t think that’s quite fit to eat.
But if your gramma’ cooked feet in stew,
we’ll get that recipe too.
We know you don’t eat out each night.
So send us the meals you do just right.
All your favorites we’re waiting to see,
be it an appetizer, salad or entrée.
Man and woman, anyone who can cook,
send us your recipe --
it will be in the book.
The cooks are all waiting to start.
Send us the foods you carry in your heart.

Co-Chairs:
Sharon Pressman & Sherri Solochek
