Our Memorial

Picture
Six million Jewish men, women and children were put to death in Europe during World War II at the hands of Adolph Hitler's Third Reich. Their only crime was their Jewishness. The unthinkable brutality of this inhuman atrocity is unmatched in history. It must not be forgotten, lest it be repeated.

This memorial to the innocent victims of The Holocaust was dedicated April 1993. Erected on the east side of B'nai Sholom Temple by Huntington Lodge 795, B'nai B'rith, the monument was initiated by Hoyt Williams and designed by Paul J. Mayer . Serving on the memorial committee that oversaw the construction of the site were Howard Carande, Herman Glaser and Max Nechin.
