The organized Jewish community in Huntington, West Virginia began nearly 120 years ago. B’nai Sholom Congregation was born in 1974 - a result of the merger of B’nai Israel Synagogue (founded in 1910) and Ohev Sholom Congregation (founded in 1887). In keeping with our reform, conservative and orthodox traditions, B’nai Sholom is affiliated with both Union for Reform Judaism and The United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism.
Service Times and Information
THIS FRIDAY, JUNE 7 - BROADWAY MUSICAL SHABBAT....
Welcome Shabbat as we join in singing Broadway songs
written by Jewish composers and lyricists.
Setting these secular songs in the sacred context of our service deepens our understanding of both spheres.
Judaism is all about honoring the sacred in the everyday.
